Homestead Privacy Policy

Homestead is a private family project tracker. It runs on hardware owned by the family who installs it. This page describes what information the app handles and what it doesn’t.

What we store

  • Account. Your name, email address, and a hashed password. Used to sign you in.
  • Your data. Projects, tasks, categories, templates, and project updates that you or other members of your household create. Stored on the server hosting this Homestead instance.
  • Device tokens. If you allow push notifications, an opaque Apple Push Notification service token is stored so the server can send notifications to your device. You can revoke it at any time by signing out or denying notifications in iOS
    Settings.

What we don’t do

  • No advertising, no analytics, no behavioral tracking.
  • No selling, sharing, or transmitting your data to anyone outside the family who hosts the server.
  • No third-party services other than Apple Push Notification service, and only when push is enabled.

Where it lives

Data is stored on the server operated by the family running this Homestead instance. It is not transmitted to any third party. If you want your account or data removed, contact the person who invited you to the household.

Children

Homestead is not directed at children. Accounts are created by adult members of the household.
